Does your family think you are “out of your mind” because you disagree with them on things like COVID-19 measures such as the wearing of masks, and taking COVID-19 vaccines?

If you are being accused of being “out of your mind,” please take comfort from the fact that people said the same thing about Jesus Christ when he walked this earth, including his own family who wanted to seize him, and stop him from his “insanity.”

Then Jesus entered a house, and again a crowd gathered, so that he and his disciples were not even able to eat.

When his family heard about this, they went to seize him, for they said, “He is out of his mind.”

Then Jesus’ mother and brothers arrived. Standing outside, they sent someone in to call him.

A crowd was sitting around him, and they told him, “Your mother and brothers are outside looking for you.”

“Who are my mother and my brothers?” he asked.

Then he looked at those seated in a circle around him and said, “Here are my mother and my brothers! Whoever does God’s will is my brother and sister and mother.” (Mark chapter 3)

This story is recorded in the 3rd chapter of the Gospel of Mark. The context of this story is that the public ministry of Jesus was increasing in popularity, due to the fact that he was actually healing people and also casting demons out of people.

This brought in crowds from all over Israel and even beyond to find this man who was healing people, and listen to his teaching:

Jesus withdrew with his disciples to the lake, and a large crowd from Galilee followed.

When they heard all he was doing, many people came to him from Judea, Jerusalem, Idumea, and the regions across the Jordan and around Tyre and Sidon.

Because of the crowd he told his disciples to have a small boat ready for him, to keep the people from crowding him.

For he had healed many, so that those with diseases were pushing forward to touch him.

Whenever the evil spirits saw him, they fell down before him and cried out, “You are the Son of God.” But he gave them strict orders not to tell who he was. (Mark 3:7-12)

This caused no small controversy, because Jesus was challenging the Globalists of his day, as the “priests” were the only ones allowed to declare someone as “healed” according to the Law of Moses.

Jesus got so fed up with them and their tyrannical control over the people, that he rubbed it into their faces, by daring to not only heal people, but do it on the “Sabbath” in defiance of their authority.

This enraged them, and they began the plot to assassinate him.

Another time he went into the synagogue, and a man with a shriveled hand was there. Some of them were looking for a reason to accuse Jesus, so they watched him closely to see if he would heal him on the Sabbath.

Jesus said to the man with the shriveled hand, “Stand up in front of everyone.”

Then Jesus asked them, “Which is lawful on the Sabbath: to do good or to do evil, to save life or to kill?”

But they remained silent.

He looked around at them in anger and, deeply distressed at their stubborn hearts, said to the man, “Stretch out your hand.”

He stretched it out, and his hand was completely restored.

Then the Pharisees went out and began to plot with the Herodians how they might kill Jesus. (Mark 3:1-6)

It is within this context that the family members of Jesus tried to remove him from the public. He was obviously an embarrassment to their family, and they probably feared the authorities as well.

The word used in Mark 3:21 for “seize” is translated in some versions as “take custody”:

And when His own people heard about this, they came out to take custody of Him; for they were saying, “He has lost His senses.” (Mark 3:21 NASB)

And when his family heard it, they went out to seize him, for they were saying, “He is out of his mind.” (Mark 3:21 ESV)

When his family heard this they went out to restrain him, for they said, “He is out of his mind.” (Mark 3:21 NET)

When his family heard about this, they went to take charge of him, for they said, “He is out of his mind.” (Mark 3:21 NIV84)

So if you are being accused by your family of being “out of your mind” and people are taking action to remove you from your job, or prevent you from attending your church, etc., just because you do not want to obey the tyrannical health authorities of our day, you are following in the steps of Jesus Christ himself!

This is why Jesus stated that to follow him on the true path that leads to life, means to put our loyalty to him even above our family members.

Jesus replied, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. (John 14:6)

Do not suppose that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I did not come to bring peace, but a sword. For I have come to turn a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law– a man’s enemies will be the members of his own household.

Anyone who loves his father or mother more than me is not worthy of me; anyone who loves his son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me; and anyone who does not take his cross and follow me is not worthy of me. – Jesus (Matthew 10:34-38)

Loyalty to Christ Must Surpass Loyalty to Family: “I Did not Come to Bring Peace, but a Sword” – Jesus

What have replaced the “priests” and “Pharisees” of Jesus’ day today are the modern day “priests” called “doctors” and the government health authorities that rule over the people, such as the FDA and the CDC.

But those of us who know Jesus Christ do not recognize their authority, because the authority of Jesus Christ to restore people to health and declare people “healed” still exists today, and it exceeds the false authority of the Government alphabet agencies.

I wrote this article on Jesus’ authority to heal over ten years ago, but it is probably more relevant today than it was 10 years ago. See:

The Authority to Heal

It is time to look to Jesus for healing and restoration, and stop listening to these talking head superstar doctors, including the ones in the Alternative Media who are falsely telling people they cannot be healed if they take a COVID-19 shot.

Jesus is still active today healing people, it is just that there are now so few who have not idolized the medical system and left it so that there is room for Jesus’ power to heal people.

Most of the Corporate Christian Church has bought into the lie that the “sign” gifts of the Holy Spirit, such as gifts of supernatural healing, no longer exist today, while those denominations that still do believe in supernatural healing are still entrapped in Corporate Christianity and the many other false teachings of the “Church” and the Christian religion and their idolatry in participating in the Satanic medical system which is based upon a false foundation of the meaning of life.

I, for one, will gladly endure the ridicule and being called “out of my mind” because we are the true children of God and disciples of Jesus, and Satan has no leverage over us, because we do not even fear physical death, but welcome it.

For we know that if our earthly house, the tent we live in, is dismantled, we have a building from God, a house not built by human hands, that is eternal in the heavens.

For in this earthly house we groan, because we desire to put on our heavenly dwelling, if indeed, after we have put on our heavenly house, we will not be found naked.

For we groan while we are in this tent, since we are weighed down, because we do not want to be unclothed, but clothed, so that what is mortal may be swallowed up by life.

Now the one who prepared us for this very purpose is God, who gave us the Spirit as a down payment. Therefore we are always full of courage, and we know that as long as we are alive here on earth we are absent from the Lord – for we live by faith, not by sight.

Thus we are full of courage and would prefer to be away from the body and at home with the Lord. So then whether we are alive or away, we make it our ambition to please him.

Therefore, because we know the fear of the Lord, we try to persuade people, but we are well known to God, and I hope we are well known to your consciences too.

We are not trying to commend ourselves to you again, but are giving you an opportunity to be proud of us, so that you may be able to answer those who take pride in outward appearance and not in what is in the heart.

For if we are out of our minds, it is for God; if we are of sound mind, it is for you.

For the love of Christ controls us, since we have concluded this, that Christ died for all; therefore all have died.

And he died for all so that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for him who died for them and was raised. (2 Corinthians Chapter 5)
