“Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves.” (Jesus – Matthew 7:15)

Here in 2023 the United States of America stands on the brink of total collapse.
If you disagree with this beginning statement, then this is not the article for you.
For those who agree or suspect that this might be true, and want to understand how I come to this conclusion, then see my 2023 July 4th message:
There is No Peace for the USA
This imminent collapse will be a total collapse of our society which includes, but is not limited to, our financial system, our social structures, our civil institutions including politics, and our technology.
How deep and how devastating this collapse will be I do not know, but every collapse of an “empire” historically has followed a moral collapse of that society, usually exhibited in human sexuality and the sacrifice of that society’s richest resources: their children.
I am not, of course, the only person in America who holds this view, the view that America is on the brink of collapse. The evidence is overwhelming that a great “reset” is imminent.
Accepting this presupposition as true, or at least likely to be true, then the question before us is what do we do now? How do we prepare for this imminent collapse of the once powerful American Empire?
Sadly, it is impossible to even discuss the solutions to the problems all of us face in America today, unless we can acknowledge that we have ALL been deceived, and that the first step is to come out of the deception and step into the light of the truth.
And to do that, we need to first stop listening to and following the false prophets controlling the narratives through “media,” whether it is the corporate media, social media, or the “alternative” media.
The Powerful Delusion
For this reason God sends them a powerful delusion so that they will believe the lie and so that all will be condemned who have not believed the truth but have delighted in wickedness. (2 Thessalonians 2:11-12)
To even be able to have an intelligent conversation about “deception” or “delusion,” one has to first define “truth” and its opposite, “not true,” or lies, deceptions, delusions, etc.
At the end of the book of Judges in the Old Testament portion of the Bible, a book that chronicles the moral decay of society in Israel in the years following the death of Moses, the last sentence reads:
In those days there was no king in Israel. Everyone did what was right in his own eyes. (Judges 21:25)
This was a negative statement, as the Law of God was reportedly dictated to Moses by angels, and that Law, which includes the Ten Commandments, is still the basis of most legal systems in the world today.
But without a king in Israel to enforce that law, everyone did what was right in his own eyes.
The Law then was the basis of “truth”, and this “truth” existed independent of whether or not people believed in it.
The Law was superseded in the New Testament, under the New Covenant, by Jesus Christ, who rose from the dead after he was executed.
Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit of life set me free from the law of sin and death.
For what the law was powerless to do in that it was weakened by the sinful nature, God did by sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful man to be a sin offering.
And so he condemned sin in sinful man, in order that the righteous requirements of the law might be fully met in us, who do not live according to the sinful nature but according to the Spirit. (Romans 8:1-4)
When you were dead in your sins and in the uncircumcision of your sinful nature, God made you alive with Christ.
He forgave us all our sins, having canceled the written code, with its regulations, that was against us and that stood opposed to us; he took it away, nailing it to the cross.
And having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross. (Colossians 2:13-15)
But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far away have been brought near through the blood of Christ. For he himself is our peace, who has made the two one and has destroyed the barrier, the dividing wall of hostility, by abolishing in his flesh the law with its commandments and regulations. (Ephesians 2:13-15)
The former regulation is set aside because it was weak and useless (for the law made nothing perfect), and a better hope is introduced, by which we draw near to God.
And it was not without an oath! Others became priests without any oath, but he became a priest with an oath when God said to him: “The Lord has sworn and will not change his mind: “You are a priest forever.'”
Because of this oath, Jesus has become the guarantee of a better covenant. (Hebrews 7:18-22)
So the “truth” today is Jesus Christ.
“I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” (Jesus – John 14:6)
The “not truth” is the Devil, Satan, or the “Anti-Christ.” Jesus said he is the “father of lies.”
You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desire. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him.
When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies. (John 8:44)
If we cannot agree on what is “truth” and what is “not truth,” then we are in the same condition as the morally decadent nation of Israel when they stopped following the law of Moses and “everyone did what was right in his own eyes.”
And that is where we are today in the United States, as people follow their idols and look to these idols to lead them out of the current corruption of our culture that is on the brink of collapse.
Those idols are mostly political and religious idols, with the country solidly divided between “Left” and “Right” ideologies.
“Truth” is evaluated based on these false prophets from both sides of political and religious ideologies and dogma.
And because very few are actually looking to Jesus Christ, who IS the Truth, God has now sent a powerful spirit of delusion upon the people of this nation, as we stand at the brink of God’s judgment.
This is the same phenomenon that Paul addressed in the New Testament in his second letter to the people living in Thessalonica, where their culture also stood on the brink of collapse, and was totally destroyed just a few years later in 70 AD, when the Romans destroyed Jerusalem and the Temple.
Read carefully what Paul wrote, because the same principles apply to us today:
Don’t let anyone deceive you in any way, for that day will not come until the rebellion occurs and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the man doomed to destruction. He will oppose and will exalt himself over everything that is called God or is worshiped, so that he sets himself up in God’s temple, proclaiming himself to be God.
Don’t you remember that when I was with you I used to tell you these things? And now you know what is holding him back, so that he may be revealed at the proper time.
For the secret power of lawlessness is already at work; but the one who now holds it back will continue to do so till he is taken out of the way. And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus will overthrow with the breath of his mouth and destroy by the splendor of his coming.
The coming of the lawless one will be in accordance with the work of Satan displayed in all kinds of counterfeit miracles, signs and wonders, and in every sort of evil that deceives those who are perishing.
They perish because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. For this reason God sends them a powerful delusion so that they will believe the lie and so that all will be condemned who have not believed the truth but have delighted in wickedness.
But we ought always to thank God for you, brothers loved by the Lord, because from the beginning God chose you to be saved through the sanctifying work of the Spirit and through belief in the truth.
He called you to this through our gospel, that you might share in the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.
So then, brothers, stand firm and hold to the teachings we passed on to you, whether by word of mouth or by letter. May our Lord Jesus Christ himself and God our Father, who loved us and by his grace gave us eternal encouragement and good hope, encourage your hearts and strengthen you in every good deed and word. (2 Thessalonians 2:3-17 – Emphasis mine)
I have put in bold the key verses here that describe the same condition modern-day America is currently in, where people “refuse to love the truth,” and therefore God has sent “a powerful delusion so that they will believe the lie and so that all will be condemned who have not believed the truth but have delighted in wickedness.”
This is the Great Deception of the 21st Century, and it began in earnest in 2020 with the whole COVID deception, and the people who led the nation into this deception were our political and religious leaders, and their idolatry in believing in the lies of Big Pharma and their corporate media mouthpieces that broadcast the Satanic lies 24/7 to the public.
Know the Truth – Know Jesus Christ!
If therefore, you want to prepare yourself and get ready for the imminent collapse of this Empire called the United States of America, you need to step out of the deception and propaganda of our culture, and get to know the one who is “the way, the truth, and the life,” Jesus Christ.
I’ve known him as my best friend since 1979, and he is the ONLY reason why you are reading what I am writing today here in 2023.
You can learn a lot about him, and a lot about the truth, by studying the ancient collection of writings known as “the Bible.”
I have been studying it for over 40 years now, and read and study it every day, as there is not another book of literature that can compare to it historically.
Satan, the father of lies, does not want you to read it, and as can be expected, the Bible has taken quite a beating in modern times with untold lies being spread about it.
One of more modern lies I read recently boldly proclaimed that the World Economic Forum (WEF) was going to use “AI” to rewrite the Bible. (Source.)
No, AI is not going to rewrite the Bible, neither are the Chinese, or anyone else.
That’s because the Bible is a collection of writings thousands of years old and by far the most copied book in the history of the human race.
The New Testament writings alone have over 5,800 known Greek manuscripts (the original language it was written in), with the oldest copies dating back to the second century.
So not only do we have thousands of manuscripts of the original language scattered all across the world, since the Internet/Digital age texts derived from these original manuscripts are also copied onto the computers and other digital devices in MILLIONS, if not BILLIONS of places.
When you include the translations of the Bible into other languages, there are currently over 6 BILLION copies of the Bible in print.
No other works of literature in human history have come anywhere close to those kind of numbers.
Changing all of that is pretty much impossible. For more on the Bible please see:
Should You Read the Ancient Bible? Is The Bible Accurate or Corrupted?
But just reading the Bible is not enough to truly “know” Jesus Christ. It may allow you to “know about” Jesus, but to truly know him you need to meet him in the spiritual realm through the “rebirth” process where one is “born again.” See:
Who are the Children of Abraham?
When the spiritual seed of Abraham, which came to the world through the person of Jesus Christ, is planted in your heart and mind and then gives birth, this “Holy Spirit” then grows inside of you and gives you real discernment to understand truth, as you are connected on a spiritual level to Jesus Christ, who can then lead and guide us into truth, since he is the source of all truth.
Everyone else who claims to represent truth and show you the way to truth is a false prophet, and our society is full of them. There is even a famous Hollywood actor who is getting a lot of press right now and claiming to still be “Jesus” because he played the part of Jesus in a famous film. (Source.)
Most of these false prophets in our society today are in the American corporate churches, and in positions of leadership where the masses look to them as “experts.”
But when we look at the people who followed Jesus when he walked this earth, his followers were common men and women, uneducated blue collar workers like fishermen, or reformed prostitutes who were outcasts in society, and they changed the world at that time, not because they were great leaders of society, but because they had spent time with Jesus.
They went around teaching about Jesus, and performing miracles, including healing people (without drugs!).
Then Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit, said to them: “Rulers and elders of the people! If we are being called to account today for an act of kindness shown to a cripple and are asked how he was healed, then know this, you and all the people of Israel: It is by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified but whom God raised from the dead, that this man stands before you healed.
He is ‘the stone you builders rejected, which has become the capstone.’ Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved.
When they saw the courage of Peter and John and realized that they were unschooled, ordinary men, they were astonished and they took note that these men had been with Jesus.
But since they could see the man who had been healed standing there with them, there was nothing they could say. (Acts 4:8-14)
As this once great American Empire stands at the brink of collapse, who will step out of the darkness of deception and lies, and stop following this nation’s political, religious, and entertainment idols who are false prophets, and take a stand for the TRUTH, Jesus Christ?
Following Jesus is the more difficult path, but it is the only way to find truth.
Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves. By their fruit you will recognize them.
Do people pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles?
Likewise every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit.
Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Thus, by their fruit you will recognize them.
Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.
Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?’
Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’
Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock.
But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash.
When Jesus had finished saying these things, the crowds were amazed at his teaching, because he taught as one who had authority, and not as their teachers of the law. (Matthew 7:15-29)
