What kind of man is this? Even the winds and the waves obey him! (Matthew 8:27)

by Brian Shilhavy

What once used to be referred to as “acts of nature” or “acts of God“, terms still used by insurance companies today, such as earthquakes, hurricanes, tornadoes, etc., are today being politicized and blamed on alleged evil actors in the opposing political party, based on who is placing the blame on these (formerly known as) “natural disasters”, and their political affiliation.

We saw this back in 2005, when hurricane Katrina had a direct hit on New Orleans, and is one of the worst disasters to ever occur in U.S. history.

Then President Republican George Bush was blamed by the Democrats and the Left for the hurricane, for not taking more action to fight climate change, and because he was on vacation at the time and was late to provide national help to the survivors.

For nearly five years George Bush has infuriated much of the world by refusing to take action on global warming. Instead, he has called for more study. In a way, he got what he wanted with Hurricane Katrina.

One of the strongest storms on record, Katrina provided an epic and horrific laboratory for observing what happens when corporations and consumers pump more and more carbon dioxide into the atmosphere.

The world’s top climate scientists have long documented the effects of burning fossil fuels–oil, coal and gas– and predicted dire consequences for the world’s climate, including increasingly severe and frequent storms and floods.

That future is now. Katrina and its ugly aftermath are harbingers of world torn asunder not only by global warming’s howling winds and towering waves, but also by deepening fissures between rich and poor, black and white. (Source.)

The Undoing of George W. Bush

Hurricane Katrina badly damaged the former president’s reputation. And it still hasn’t recovered.

This week marks the 10th anniversary of Hurricane Katrina, which was one of the worst natural disasters in U.S. history during the late summer of 2005.

In addition to showing the determination and courage of the victims and first responders – etched deep into the nation’s consciousness – Katrina also illustrated the perils that presidents face when they fail to deal with such calamities in a timely and efficient way, as George W. Bush discovered a decade ago.

Strange as it may seem at this time of instant communication and the 24-hour news cycle, Bush didn’t pay attention to the biggest news story of the moment because he was on vacation and allowed himself to get isolated from the country. (Source.)

Fast forward to today, and the current Democrat President and Vice President are being blamed by Republicans and the Right for Hurricane Helene, and I am sure they will also be blamed for Hurricane Milton that just ripped through Central Florida last night, at the time of my writing this.

They are being blamed for “weaponizing” hurricanes, and preventing FEMA from responding quickly enough.

Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp (R-GA) is blaming the Biden-Harris Administration for the ongoing devastation caused by Hurricane Helene, claiming the president and vice president have not done enough to help people from the damage.

With roads and power outages still affecting many areas, and as the death toll climbs above two dozen, Kemp slammed President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris for moving too slow in their response to the crisis.

The governor said he had to call the White House himself and demand additional aid from Biden’s disaster declarations, which allows counties to receive funding from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).

However, it was revealed that there was not enough money to respond to the storm after FEMA spent over $600 million on illegal immigrants. (Source.)

Secret History Of Weather Weapons That Appear To Be Used On Hurricane Helene

With Hurricane Helene ravaging primarily red states in the southeastern United States, and with the Washington Post now claiming, “If Helene Affects Voting, Trump May Pay The Price,” it’s important to review how the federal government has long had the power to manipulate weather patterns — and question whether the destruction was intentional.

I, for one, am getting tired of reading daily news events through the glasses of political ideology.

I am more interested in discovering the Truth, so whether you believe these hurricanes are being weaponized to destroy only Republicans, or that these hurricanes are caused by man-made climate change, I am going to present a third, non-political alternative:

Jesus Christ, the Creator of the Universe, controls the weather.

The Storm on the Sea of Galilee, by Rembrandt, 1632. Source.

My source for my claim that “Jesus controls the weather” comes from the Bible, a collection of ancient texts that in the New Testament portion of the Bible documents the historical life of Jesus Christ, as well as a collection of his teachings.

I believe that the records contained in these writings are true, as textual evidence of these ancient manuscripts is unmatched by any other collection of writings in antiquity, by far.

Since they were not written in English or other modern languages, there are, of course, many debates and many corruptions in the English translations. For more on this topic, please see:

Should You Read the Ancient Bible? Is The Bible Accurate or Corrupted?

First, let’s look at two historical accounts from the life of Jesus Christ which conclusively prove that Jesus controls the weather.

Then he got into the boat and his disciples followed him.

Without warning, a furious storm came up on the lake, so that the waves swept over the boat.

But Jesus was sleeping.

The disciples went and woke him, saying, “Lord, save us! We’re going to drown!”

He replied, “You of little faith, why are you so afraid?”

Then he got up and rebuked the winds and the waves, and it was completely calm.

The men were amazed and asked, “What kind of man is this? Even the winds and the waves obey him!” (Matthew 8:23-27)

Immediately Jesus made the disciples get into the boat and go on ahead of him to the other side, while he dismissed the crowd.

After he had dismissed them, he went up on a mountainside by himself to pray.

When evening came, he was there alone, but the boat was already a considerable distance from land, buffeted by the waves because the wind was against it.

During the fourth watch of the night Jesus went out to them, walking on the lake.

When the disciples saw him walking on the lake, they were terrified.

“It’s a ghost,” they said, and cried out in fear.

But Jesus immediately said to them: “Take courage! It is I. Don’t be afraid.”

“Lord, if it’s you,” Peter replied, “tell me to come to you on the water.”

“Come,” he said.

Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came toward Jesus.

But when he saw the wind, he was afraid and, beginning to sink, cried out, “Lord, save me!”

Immediately Jesus reached out his hand and caught him.

“You of little faith,” he said, “why did you doubt?”

And when they climbed into the boat, the wind died down.

Then those who were in the boat worshiped him, saying, “Truly you are the Son of God.” (Matthew 14:22-33)

The first observation from these two stories is that while Jesus did not cause the storms, he had control over them.

In the first story especially, we read that Jesus: “rebuked the winds and the waves, and it was completely calm.”

So, Jesus controls the weather.

The other thing to observe in these two stories about Jesus, is that we are not to fear the weather. Jesus has control over the storms.

Then what about bad weather that can kill and destroy?

First, it is important to understand that this current generation and culture has been shaped by the Satanic teachings of Charles Darwin, and his theory of evolution.

The modern day belief in the “advancement of humanity”, especially today with electronic technology, is not supported by ancient history.

The ancient cultures portrayed in the writings of Moses in the Old Testament portion of the Bible, show a highly advanced civilization thousands of years ago, prior to Noah’s flood, where humans lived to almost 1000 years old.

Very little is written about this period of history in the Bible, and most modern-day “scientists” admit they don’t know how certain artifacts found through archaeology were achieved, such as the building of great pyramids found in Egypt and Latin America.

They are usually attributed to “space aliens” with no proof, just beliefs.

When we look to the ancient writings contained in the Bible, however, there is no need to believe in extra-terrestrial beings to explain what is observed in the world today.

The world is presented in the ancient texts as having been created in perfection, and then marred by man’s sin, as recorded in the first book that Moses wrote, Genesis.

In Paul’s letter written to the believers living in Rome during his day, he wrote:

The creation waits in eager expectation for the sons of God to be revealed.

For the creation was subjected to frustration, not by its own choice, but by the will of the one who subjected it, in hope that the creation itself will be liberated from its bondage to decay and brought into the glorious freedom of the children of God.

We know that the whole creation has been groaning as in the pains of childbirth right up to the present time. (Romans 8:19-22)

The creation, the natural world, is suffering today because of the sins of Adam and Eve, who were put into the perfect Garden of Eden as agriculturists before they sinned.

The earth was also cursed, when God cursed Adam and Eve.

To Adam he said, “Because you listened to your wife and ate from the tree about which I commanded you, ‘You must not eat of it,’

“Cursed is the ground because of you; through painful toil you will eat of it all the days of your life.

It will produce thorns and thistles for you, and you will eat the plants of the field.

By the sweat of your brow you will eat your food until you return to the ground, since from it you were taken; for dust you are and to dust you will return.” (Genesis 3:17-19)

Modern technology is trying hard to reverse this curse on the earth and the way food must be produced, but it has failed miserably, with the modern genetically-modified mass produced foods being far less healthy and nutritious than the traditional ways of producing food by hard labor, through human labor.

Storms that are destructive and kill people, are most certainly part of this current curse upon the earth. For the believers in the technology that believe that man can now control the weather, then why doesn’t the technology also prevent these storms in the first place??

We are most certainly seeing drastic changes in our climate during modern times. One view is the mostly government-funded Climate Change agenda that blames man and modern pollution for this climate change.

The alternative, minority view, is that while man is responsible for this climate change, it is not primarily through carbon emissions or any other form of pollution, but by geoengineering, funded by the Globalists, as documented most by the work of Dane Wigington of GeoengineeringWatch.org. See:

New Documentary Proves Climate Engineering by Controlling the Weather (NOT “Global Warming”) is Destroying Life and the Planet: Immediate Danger FAR Greater than COVID-19

And while I appreciate the fine work that Dane Wigington has done to bring to light the efforts of the Globalists to control and weaponize the weather, that research in and of itself is not proof that every single hurricane or destructive weather system is caused solely by their actions.

A third alternative for climate change that is almost never discussed, is that it is natural. This would be more in line with what the Bible teaches about the history of the Earth.

According to evidence found in the Bible, before the flood of Noah it had never rained on the earth and there was a canopy above the earth, providing what might have been a near perfect biosphere, that was probably tropical.

After the flood and waters that came up from the deep and also fell from the canopy above the earth, the polar caps of the earth very quickly froze.

Darwinian evolutionary theory would have us believe that the “Ice Age” happened over millions of years.

But the evidence found in archaeology better fits into the Biblical worldwide flood narrative, especially when whole animals are found encased in ice glaciers perfectly in tact, including having undigested food in their stomach, such as the extinct woolly mammoths. (Source.)

Something like that could never happen over long periods of time, and certainly suggests a catastrophic weather event where it happened almost immediately.

Therefore, it is very possible that the earth has been slowly getting warmer since the worldwide flood, returning to its “natural” state before the flood.

Hurricanes in End Time Prophecies?

According to the writings of the apostle Peter, the current earth will end by being burned up by fire, which would certainly support a natural climate change leading to warmer temperatures.

First of all, you must understand that in the last days scoffers will come, scoffing and following their own evil desires.

They will say, “Where is this ‘coming’ he promised? Ever since our fathers died, everything goes on as it has since the beginning of creation.”

But they deliberately forget that long ago by God’s word the heavens existed and the earth was formed out of water and by water.

By these waters also the world of that time was deluged and destroyed.

By the same word the present heavens and earth are reserved for fire, being kept for the day of judgment and destruction of ungodly men.

But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day.

The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.

But the day of the Lord will come like a thief. The heavens will disappear with a roar; the elements will be destroyed by fire, and the earth and everything in it will be laid bare. (2 Peter 3:3-10)

In the first story about Jesus that I quoted above from Matthew chapter 8, where it says: “Without warning, a furious storm came up on the lake…” – the Greek work in original texts is σεισμός (seismos), which has come into the English language with words like “seismic”.

But as we can see how it was translated in this verse in Matthew chapter 8, it has a wider meaning than just “earthquake”, and was translated here as “storm.”

The English word “earthquake” is used the most to translate seismos, in the New Testament part of the Bible, and it is used frequently with events in the “end times.”

It is used in the last book of the Bible, Revelation, and here is one example from chapter 8:

Then the angel took the censer, filled it with fire from the altar, and hurled it on the earth; and there came peals of thunder, rumblings, flashes of lightning and an earthquake. (Revelation 8:5)

But since this word can also be translated “storm”, would not a more appropriate translation here be “violent storm” or even “hurricane” or “typhoon”?

Do “peals of thunder, rumblings, flashes of lightning” sound like an “earthquake” or more like a violent weather “storm”?

In the Gospel of Luke and his description of the end times, he uses language that most definitely fits the definition of a “hurricane”.

There will be signs in the sun, moon and stars. On the earth, nations will be in anguish and perplexity at the roaring and tossing of the sea. (Luke 21:25)

Conclusion: Your Government will NOT Save You When the Worst Storms Come

While there are many theories about who causes these increasingly destructive storms, only one person in history has ever calmed one and declared his authority over the storms: Jesus Christ.

To politicize this issue blaming it on opposing politicians is short-sighted, and ignores the overall moral condition of our country today, the United States of America.

We know the earth is going to burn up, and that there will be major cataclysmic events during the “last days.”

I will not look to politicians to save us from these storms, because they cannot.

This nation is run by billionaire pedophiles who are mostly Zionist Satanists, who indiscriminately murder and maim innocent people around the world, such as we are seeing in the Middle East right now.

Back here at home, children are sexually trafficked every day, and then carved up into pieces to sell their body parts.

So excuse me, but the most rational way to look at these ever increasing natural disasters, is to see the hand of God in them as warnings for the judgment that is soon to come.

And when that happens, the U.S. Government is not going to save you, no matter who is in office at the time.

Jesus Christ, the Messiah, the one who can rebuke storms like hurricanes, is the only one who can save you.

Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell. (Matthew 10:28)

God is just: He will pay back trouble to those who trouble you and give relief to you who are troubled, and to us as well.

This will happen when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven in blazing fire with his powerful angels. He will punish those who do not know God and do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus.

They will be punished with everlasting destruction and shut out from the presence of the Lord and from the majesty of his power on the day he comes to be glorified in his holy people and to be marveled at among all those who have believed. (2 Thessalonians 1:6-10)
