For not all who are descended from Israel are Israel. (Romans 9:6)

by Brian Shilhavy

Christian Zionism is a cult, a very dangerous cult.

I refer to this teaching as a “cult” because it is not based on the writings of the Bible, although it tries to use the Bible to justify its doctrines.

Christian Zionism is a branch of Dispensationalism Theology, which began around the 18th Century and was made popular in the late 19th Century by John Nelson Darby, and C.I. Scofield, who developed the first “study Bible” that included notes on the original text of the Bible interpreting the text through the lens of Dispensationalism, which included Zionism.

I published a review on the roots of Christian Zionism earlier this year:

It’s Time to Stop Supporting Zionist Israel

In the late 1970s, Dr. Jerry Falwell, founder of Liberty University in Virginia, brought Zionism into American politics with the founding of his Zionist “Moral Majority” which was adopted by the Republican Party.

He began taking trips to Israel, supported by the Israeli government.

Despite over 6,000 miles separating Jerusalem, Israel and Virginia, Dr. Jerry Falwell Sr. made it his mission to care for the Israelis.

Shortly after Israel was declared a country in 1948, Falwell became a Christian, according to Dean Emeritus of the School of Divinity Dr. Ed Hindson. As Falwell attended Bible college and started Thomas Road Baptist Church, he watched millions of Jews return to their native country and believed God was bringing his people home.

Falwell visited Israel around 15 times during his lifetime.

Duke Westover served as Falwell’s chief of staff for 35 years and traveled with him to Israel every time except one trip. His job was to schedule meetings and interviews with the officials in the country.

“Jerry was welcomed with open arms in Israel with the prime ministers and all the ambassadors,” Westover said. “They recognized Jerry as a friend, above all things.”

Co-founder Dr. Elmer Towns said Falwell approached him in their first year of Liberty University and declared he wanted to take every student of their 154-student body to Israel for free.

So, they did in February of 1972. Towns said only 90 students came, and they listened to lectures on Israel at each site. They visited the empty tomb, the Garden of Gethsemane and other locations.

“When we went to Israel, we said, ‘You’re going to go where Jesus walked because when you serve God, you’re going to walk with Jesus,’” Towns said.

Twenty years later, Falwell and Westover took 1,500 people to Israel, the largest group to visit Israel at once, in January of 1999. Out of the group, 900 were Liberty students.

In 1979, Falwell and other pastors were invited by the National Religious Broadcasters on a peace initiative to Israel, Jordan and Egypt. They met with Egyptian President Anwar Sadat, Jordanian King Hussein bin Talal and Israeli Prime Minister Menachem Begin.

Hindson said Sadat flew Falwell and the other pastors on the Egyptian One, the presidential airline, to Jordan. Israelis watched this on television and were anxious to meet with them.

In 1980, Begin awarded Falwell the Jabotinsky Award, an Israeli government award given to Americans who have contributed to the Israeli cause in an outstanding way. Hindson said this award is the highest honor the prime minister can give friends of Israel.

“Everywhere we went, we ran into Israelis who recognized him, came up to talk to him (and) thanked him for his support of Israel’s right to exist,” Hindson said, recalling the two times he traveled with Falwell. “It was really kind of a hero’s welcome that he would always get when he was in Israel. He made an impact, and he felt like God would use that ultimately to also make an impact for the gospel.”

Westover said Falwell was viewed as Israel’s American spokesman, and politicians and businessmen in Israel respected and valued him for standing up for their country.

“Anytime there was an issue that came up in America,” Westover said. “Jerry was always on the right side of supporting Israel.” (Source.)

Besides the late Jerry Falwell, other Zionist Christian leaders who participated in politics and frequently visited Israel starting in the late 1970s were Mega Church Texas Pastor John Hagee, who founded Christians United for Israel, which today is the largest Christian Zionist organization in the United States, and the late Pat Robertson, the founder of the Christian Broadcasting Network (CBN) and the 700 Club, which reaches many millions of people around the world.

The most dangerous modern-day belief coming out of Zionism, is that modern-day Israel, and the “Jewish people,” are more special than any other nation or race of people on earth, which leads to racial discrimination and prejudice, something that is NOT taught in the Bible at all.

I have previously covered much of this false teaching, so what I am going to do in this article is repeat most of that teaching and show just what the Bible actually teaches. I am using the Bible as my authority, which is what most of the Zionists also claim, so that you can search the scriptures yourself to see what they actually teach on this topic, rather than rely upon a Christian “expert”.

“Blessed are those who Bless Israel” – FALSE

One of the places in the Bible that many Zionists today claim supports the view that we must support modern-day Israel, is the phrase “Blessed are those who Bless Israel.”

However, this statement is not found anywhere in the Bible.

The verse in the Bible that is most often given to support this belief, is in Genesis chapter 12, which reads:

The LORD had said to Abram, “Leave your country, your people and your father’s household and go to the land I will show you. I will make you into a great nation and I will bless you; I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you.” (Genesis 12:1-3)

As you can see from this verse, the word “Israel” does not even exist. And that’s because the name “Israel” did not appear until over 100 years later, with Abraham’s grandson, Jacob.

The man asked him, “What is your name?”

“Jacob,” he answered.

Then the man said, “Your name will no longer be Jacob, but Israel, because you have struggled with God and with men and have overcome.” (Genesis 32:27-28)

Jacob, who was renamed “Israel”, had 12 sons who became the 12 tribes of Israel.

The phrase “I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse“, is not given to a geopolitical nation, but to a single man, Abraham.

And to this man, God said that “all the peoples on the earth will be blessed through you.”

Was this promise to Abraham in Genesis chapter 12 made to all Jews who would ever live in the future based simply on their ethnicity, or occupation in the land of “Israel”?

No!

At least, not if you read your Bible and base your belief on what is written there, rather than try to explain everything away in the Bible that contradicts your views as you read the Bible through the lens of Zionism.

Don’t just take my word for it though, read the Bible yourself, and read what Paul wrote about the promise given to Abraham in Genesis Chapter 12:

The promises were spoken to Abraham and to his seed. The Scripture does not say “and to seeds,” meaning many people, but “and to your seed,” meaning one person, who is Christ. (Galatians 3:16)

The truth Paul is writing here is taken from Genesis Chapter 22, where the promise to Abraham made in chapter 12 was repeated:

And in your seed all the nations of the earth shall be blessed, because you have obeyed My voice. (Genesis 22:18)

The word “seed” here, which some translations use the English word “offspring” for instead, is singular, NOT plural. And as Paul wrote in Galatians, that promise was fulfilled in only ONE descendant of Abraham, Jesus Christ.

Today, those who are “blessed” or “cursed” are based on their belief in Jesus Christ, the descendant of Abraham, and not the “Jews”.

Who Are the “Jews”?

Sabbatean “Jews”: Sabbatai Zevi and the Kabbalah Tree of Life. Image source.

The term “Jew” has several meanings.

In broadest contexts, “Jew” has at least three widely recognized meanings: a religious group of people embracing some form of a Jewish “religion,” an ethnic group of people tied into a specific genealogy, or a national group associated with the geopolitical nation of Israel.

A person who identifies as a “Jew” may identify with all or any of these three groups, or with none of them.

Zionism wants you to believe that there is only one meaning for the name “Jew,” the ethnic people descended from Abraham, and who inherited all the promises made to Abraham. To use the term “Jew” in any way that they do not approve of, is to be labeled “antisemitic.”

The term “antisemitic” in and of itself is a false label used to try and silence dissenters to the Zionist cult. The “Semite” people include all the descendants of Abraham, not just those born through the line of Jacob (Israel), son of Isaac, son of Abraham.

In fact, the term itself comes from one of the sons of Noah, Shem. It would include the patriarchal line of Abraham’s forefathers as well, back to Shem. It would therefore also include the descendants of Abraham’s other sons, including Ishmael, the father of the Arabs, the majority of whom are Muslims today.

The Zionists believe that this ethnic group has a biblical right to the land of Israel today, because it is the “promised land” given to this ethnic group for all times.

Before I show how the Bible completely contradicts this belief, let’s first address the issue of what kind of “Jews” actually live in Israel today. Are they truly ethnic Jews descended from Abraham?

No, most of them are not. Most of the Jews inhabiting Israel today do not have a genealogy that traces their ancestors back to Abraham. Ethnically, many of these “Jews” living in Israel today are more closely related to the modern-day Turkic peoples, descendants originally from Mongolia, and living in modern-day Turkey, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan, as well as in other countries such as the Chechnya people in Russia, and the Uyghur people in China.

Most of these people living in Israel today were originally “Jews” by religion only, and not ethnic Jews who can trace their family past to Abraham, the Semite Hebrew (not a “Jew”).

Ironically, the people who have the most ancestral lines tracing back to Abraham, are the Palestinian people.

Most of the ethnic Jews living in Israel during the biblical days were killed in the destruction of Jerusalem and the Temple by the Romans back in 70 AD. Those who survived mostly became Christians, and are still Christians until this day (Palestinian Christians), and after 600 years with the beginning of Islam under Mohammed, many of them converted to Islam under the Ottoman (Turks) Empire.

I deal with this more in depth, with sources, in this article:

Identifying the Luciferian Globalists Implementing the New World Order – Who are the “Jews”?

What does the Bible Teach About “Jews”?

One of the best explanations in the Bible of who are the “Jews” and the children of Abraham is in Paul’s letter to the believers in Galatia in the First Century. Galatia was a province in the Roman Empire at the time, in what is today central Turkey.

Paul and his companions traveled through the region bringing the “Good News” (gospel) about Jesus Christ to the people, and as a result, congregations of believers in Christ were formed in some of the cities.

From the Jewish perspective, these people would be considered “Greeks” or “Gentiles”, because they were not ethnic Jews, and they had no physical genealogy back to Abraham.

The setting for Paul’s letter to the believers congregating in Galatia, was a controversy that had arisen in the First Century between the ethnic and religious Jews and the non-Jews (Gentiles) who had become disciples of Jesus Christ.

The controversy had started in Antioch, just north of Damascus, and apparently spread to Galatia as well.

This controversy started with the Jews who had accepted Jesus as the promised Messiah, but believed that Gentile believers had to basically become part of Judaism, the Jewish religion based on the teachings of Moses, often referred to as “The Law”, because it encompassed the Ten Commandments and all the other laws delivered to Moses, which are recorded in the first 5 books of the Old Testament section of the Bible.

These “Jewish believers” (forerunners to today’s Zionists) insisted that the “Gentile believers” had to obey all the laws of Moses, including becoming circumcised.

The issue came to a head and was dealt with in Jerusalem, where most of the original apostles who spent time with Jesus before he was resurrected from the dead and then returned to heaven were living, in Acts chapter 15.

James, who was the half brother of Jesus, was a key person at this meeting. Paul was there as well, and they all agreed that the Gentile believers were not obligated to keep the Mosaic law as a requirement to be part of the congregations of disciples of Jesus, and especially that they did not need to be circumcised.

But some of the Jewish believers continued to insist that the Gentile believers be circumcised and become religious Jewish converts, and apparently some of them had made their way into Galatia causing great controversy, and prompting Paul to pen his letter to the believers meeting there.

Paul, himself being both an ethnic Jew as well as a religious Jew of the Pharisee sect, but also a Roman citizen, does not hold back his anger in his criticism of these Jews, and the local believers who started to follow them.

I marvel that you are so quickly deserting him who called you in the grace of Christ to a different “good news”; and there isn’t another “good news.”

Only there are some who trouble you, and want to pervert the Good News of Christ.

But even though we, or an angel from heaven, should preach to you any “good news” other than that which we preached to you, let him be cursed.

As we have said before, so I now say again: if any man preaches to you any “good news” other than that which you received, let him be cursed.

For am I now seeking the favor of men, or of God? Or am I striving to please men? For if I were still pleasing men, I wouldn’t be a servant of Christ. (Galatians 1:6-10)

The “Seed” of Abraham

So this letter to the believers in Galatia deals head on with this controversy between the Jews and the non-Jews, and we are very fortunate to have it included in the Bible. Paul clearly articulates his credentials as an “apostle” and how he received the “good news” directly by revelation from Jesus Christ himself in this letter. (Read Galatians 1 & 2)

In Galatians 3, he clearly defines who “the children of Abraham” are:

Consider Abraham: “He believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness.”

Understand, then, that those who believe are children of Abraham.

The Scripture foresaw that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, and announced the “good news” in advance to Abraham: “All nations will be blessed through you.”

So those who have faith are blessed along with Abraham, the man of faith. (Galatians 3:6-9)

Paul is quoting passages here written in the book of Genesis, the first of the 5 books that Moses wrote.

The first quote, “He believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness.“, comes from Genesis 15:6.

After this, the word of the LORD came to Abram in a vision: “Do not be afraid, Abram. I am your shield, your very great reward.”

But Abram said, “O Sovereign LORD, what can you give me since I remain childless and the one who will inherit my estate is Eliezer of Damascus?”

And Abram said, “You have given me no children; so a servant in my household will be my heir.”

Then the word of the LORD came to him: “This man will not be your heir, but a son coming from your own body will be your heir.” He took him outside and said, “Look up at the heavens and count the stars–if indeed you can count them.”

Then he said to him, “So shall your offspring be.”

Abram believed the LORD, and he credited it to him as righteousness. (Genesis 15:1-6)

The second quote Paul used in Galatians 3, “All nations will be blessed through you.”, is taken from Genesis chapter 12:

Now the LORD said to Abram, “Go from your country and your kindred and your father’s house to the land that I will show you. And I will make of you a great nation, and I will bless you and make your name great, so that you will be a blessing.

I will bless those who bless you, and him who dishonors you I will curse, and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.” (Genesis 12:1-3)

While Genesis was written in Hebrew, Paul’s letters were written in the Greek language, and the word that he used in Galatians 3:8 to quote Genesis 12:3, which most English translations translate as “nations”, is ethnos in the Greek.

“Nations” today mostly means geopolitical “nations” in modern English, but the word in the Greek, ethnos, has a much wider meaning of “race,” or “ethnic group.” Our English words such as “ethnic” and “ethnicity” come from this Greek word.

So Paul is very clearly stating here that the covenant blessings of Abraham, which were fulfilled in Jesus Christ, were based NOT on Abraham’s ethnicity, but on Abraham’s faith, as stated in Genesis 15:6, and that through Abraham, God was going to bless ALL ETHNIC GROUPS, including those who did not have a physical genealogy back to him.

Paul then goes on in his letter to the Galatians to explain that the “Good News” and the blessings of Abraham are based on Abraham’s faith and the promise that God (Yahweh) made to Abraham, and are NOT based on the Mosaic Law, which came 430 years later.

All who rely on observing the law are under a curse, for it is written: “Cursed is everyone who does not continue to do everything written in the Book of the Law.”

Clearly no one is justified before God by the law, because, “The righteous will live by faith.”

The law is not based on faith; on the contrary, “The man who does these things will live by them.”

Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us, for it is written: “Cursed is everyone who is hung on a tree.”

He redeemed us in order that the blessing given to Abraham might come to the Gentiles through Christ Jesus, so that by faith we might receive the promise of the Spirit. (Galatians 3:10-14)

And now we come to the heart of the matter in this next section in Galatians 3 that Paul wrote.

This was the heart of the controversy in the First Century between the Jewish believers and the Gentile believers, and it is the heart of the controversy of so many issues facing us today, especially among the three religions that all look to Abraham as their founder: Judaism, Christianity, and Islam.

The heart of this controversy is the “Seed of Abraham.”

Brothers, let me take an example from everyday life. Just as no one can set aside or add to a human covenant that has been duly established, so it is in this case.

The promises were spoken to Abraham and to his seed. The Scripture does not say “and to seeds,” meaning many people, but “and to your seed,” meaning one person, who is Christ.

What I mean is this: The law, introduced 430 years later, does not set aside the covenant previously established by God and thus do away with the promise.

For if the inheritance depends on the law, then it no longer depends on a promise; but God in his grace gave it to Abraham through a promise.

What, then, was the purpose of the law?

It was added because of transgressions until the Seed to whom the promise referred had come.

The law was put into effect through angels by a mediator. A mediator, however, does not represent just one party; but God is one.

Is the law, therefore, opposed to the promises of God? Absolutely not!

For if a law had been given that could impart life, then righteousness would certainly have come by the law.

But the Scripture declares that the whole world is a prisoner of sin, so that what was promised, being given through faith in Jesus Christ, might be given to those who believe.

Before this faith came, we were held prisoners by the law, locked up until faith should be revealed. So the law was put in charge to lead us to Christ that we might be justified by faith.

Now that faith has come, we are no longer under the supervision of the law. You are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus, for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ.

There is neither Jew nor Greek, slave nor free, male nor female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.

If you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise. (Galatians 3:15-29)

This truth, which is so eloquently explained by Paul in Galatians 3, and elsewhere such as in his letters to the Romans and Ephesians, is the GOOD NEWS, the “gospel,” which applies to every single human being, regardless of ethnicity, religion, gender, or any other way of classifying human beings, because it is based on FAITH, the same faith that Abraham had.

But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions–it is by grace you have been saved.

And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, in order that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus.

For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith–and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God–not by works, so that no one can boast. (Ephesians 2:4-9)

The one physical descendant of Abraham that truly mattered, was Jesus Christ, Isa Al-Mesih, Yeshua ha-Mashiach, or whatever other language you want to use to refer to the Seed of Abraham, who was born of the Virgin Mary, was executed as the perfect lamb of God as a sacrifice for our sins, and then walked out of the grave in triumph 3 days later, defeating Satan and death.

Now, the English word “seed” here is sperma in the original Greek language that Paul used.

It can mean a literal seed that is planted into the ground to grow into a plant, and it is also used for a male “sperm” which is the human “seed.”

But in Galatians 3, he writes this:

There is neither Jew nor Greek, slave nor free, male nor female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.

If you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.

This is a spiritual “seed.” He just conclusively proved that the children of Abraham are by faith, and not ethnic genealogy.

Not understanding that there is also a spiritual seed has caused many controversies throughout the history of the human race.

I cover this more thoroughly in my article: Identifying the Luciferian Globalists Implementing the New World Order – Who are the “Jews”?, but the truth of this spiritual seed goes all the way back to the earliest pages of the first book in the Bible, and one of the first things that Moses wrote as dictated by angels, in Genesis chapter 3.

And Jehovah God said to the woman, What is this you have done? And the woman said, The serpent deceived me, and I ate.

And Jehovah God said to the serpent, Because you have done this you are cursed more than all cattle, and more than every animal of the field. You shall go upon your belly, and you shall eat dust all the days of your life.

And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your seed and her seed; He will bruise your head, and you shall bruise His heel. (Genesis 3:13-15)

I purposely chose an English version of this passage, which was originally written in Hebrew, that used the English word “seed,” as some translations use “offspring” or “descendants” here.

But the “seed” of the serpent here does not refer to baby snakes, but is a spiritual “seed” that infected the human race.

We see it manifested immediately in the next chapter of Genesis, in the story of Cain and his brother Abel, where this spiritual “seed” of Satan enters into Cain who then murders his brother Abel.

It is clearly not a physical “seed,” because genetically they were brothers born from the same parents, Adam and Eve.

The physical seed of Eve passed down through her physical descendants to Abraham, and then to Jesus Christ.

The Teaching of Jesus Regarding “Jews”

Jesus Christ, a Jew with a genealogy that traced back to King David, and obviously all the way back to Abraham, through his mother Mary, constantly came into conflict with the ruling Jews of his day.

These ruling Jews who opposed Jesus had a physical genealogy tracing back to Abraham (supposedly), but because of their lack of faith, Jesus said that they were actually children of Satan, and part of the world system controlled by the Luciferian Globalists.

The following discourse was recorded in John chapter 8.

To the Jews who had believed him, Jesus said, “If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”

They answered him, “We are Abraham’s descendants and have never been slaves of anyone. How can you say that we shall be set free?”

Jesus replied, “I tell you the truth, everyone who sins is a slave to sin. Now a slave has no permanent place in the family, but a son belongs to it forever. So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.

I know you are Abraham’s descendants. Yet you are ready to kill me, because you have no room for my word. I am telling you what I have seen in the Father’s presence, and you do what you have heard from your father.”

“Abraham is our father,” they answered.

“If you were Abraham’s children,” said Jesus, “then you would do the things Abraham did. As it is, you are determined to kill me, a man who has told you the truth that I heard from God. Abraham did not do such things. You are doing the things your own father does.”

“We are not illegitimate children,” they protested. “The only Father we have is God himself.”

Jesus said to them, “If God were your Father, you would love me, for I came from God and now am here. I have not come on my own; but he sent me.

Why is my language not clear to you? Because you are unable to hear what I say.

You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desire. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him.

When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies. Yet because I tell the truth, you do not believe me!

Can any of you prove me guilty of sin? If I am telling the truth, why don’t you believe me? He who belongs to God hears what God says. The reason you do not hear is that you do not belong to God.” (John 8:31-47)

So these descendants of Abraham who called themselves “Jews” during the days of Jesus in the First Century AD, but did not know God, are what I am going to term “Satanic Jews” for the remainder of this article. (“Satan” and “the Devil” are synonymous, but English does not have a common adjective form for “devil.”)

These Satanic Jews were the ruling class, and they controlled the financial, social, and political culture of Israel prior to its destruction in AD 70.

We see Jesus have multiple encounters with them throughout the Gospel writings, including chasing their bankers (money changers) out of the temple.

When it was almost time for the Jewish Passover, Jesus went up to Jerusalem. In the temple courts he found men selling cattle, sheep and doves, and others sitting at tables exchanging money.

So he made a whip out of cords, and drove all from the temple area, both sheep and cattle; he scattered the coins of the money changers and overturned their tables.

To those who sold doves he said, “Get these out of here! How dare you turn my Father’s house into a market!” (John 2:13-16)

These are the characteristics of the Satanic Jews, according to Jesus:

  • They carry out Satan’s desire.
  • They are murderers.
  • They have no truth in them.
  • Their native language is lying, because Satan is the “father of lies.”
  • They do not belong to God (Yahweh or Jehovah using the Latin script English is based on).
  • They cannot hear the voice of God, only the voice of their father, Satan.

Jesus believed and taught that there were Satanic Jews who served their father the Devil, and that there were righteous Jews who believed in him, whom he called his “disciples.”

Jesus, himself a Jew and a Semite, would clearly be labeled as “antisemitic” today for not supporting the nation of Israel, even though he did not support the nation of Israel 2000 years ago either.

Here are some more things that Jesus Christ, the “antisemitic”, said about the Jewish leaders of his day.

Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites, because you shut the kingdom of heaven in front of people; for you do not enter it yourselves, nor do you allow those who are entering to go in.

Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You travel over land and sea to win a single convert, and when he becomes one, you make him twice as much a son of hell as you are.

Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You build tombs for the prophets and decorate the graves of the righteous.

And you say, ‘If we had lived in the days of our forefathers, we would not have taken part with them in shedding the blood of the prophets.’

So you testify against yourselves that you are the descendants of those who murdered the prophets.

Fill up, then, the measure of the sin of your forefathers! You snakes! You brood of vipers! How will you escape being condemned to hell? (Matthew 23.)

One of those Jewish leaders, however, did believe that Jesus came from God because of the miracles he was performing, and secretly came to him at night to explain more in depth how the promise to Abraham was to be fulfilled, and we have that conversation recorded in John chapter 3, where Jesus clearly explained that it was the spiritual seed of Abraham that the promise was based on, and that one had to be “born again” into the spiritual line of Abraham.

Now there was a man of the Pharisees named Nicodemus, a member of the Jewish ruling council. He came to Jesus at night and said, “Rabbi, we know you are a teacher who has come from God. For no one could perform the miraculous signs you are doing if God were not with him.”

In reply Jesus declared, “I tell you the truth, no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again.”

“How can a man be born when he is old?” Nicodemus asked. “Surely he cannot enter a second time into his mother’s womb to be born!”

Jesus answered, “I tell you the truth, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless he is born of water and the Spirit. Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit. You should not be surprised at my saying, ‘You must be born again.’ The wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear its sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit.”

“How can this be?” Nicodemus asked.

“You are Israel’s teacher,” said Jesus, “and do you not understand these things? I tell you the truth, we speak of what we know, and we testify to what we have seen, but still you people do not accept our testimony.

I have spoken to you of earthly things and you do not believe; how then will you believe if I speak of heavenly things?

No one has ever gone into heaven except the one who came from heaven—the Son of Man. Just as Moses lifted up the snake in the desert, so the Son of Man must be lifted up, that everyone who believes in him may have eternal life.

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.

Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son.

This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but men loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that his deeds will be exposed.

But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what he has done has been done through God.” (John 3:1-21)

The Zionists who believe that Jews can be saved and receive the promises of Abraham based simply on their ethnicity, are denying the Good News, the “gospel” of Jesus Christ, which is that ANYONE can have their sins forgiven and receive the promises of Abraham, based on faith and the spiritual rebirth, and not ethnicity.

To these Zionists living in the First Century Paul scolded (as I already quoted above):

I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting the one who called you by the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel—which is really no gospel at all.

Evidently some people (Zionists) are throwing you into confusion and are trying to pervert the gospel of Christ.

But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let him be eternally condemned! As we have already said, so now I say again: If anybody is preaching to you a gospel other than what you accepted, let him be eternally condemned!

Am I now trying to win the approval of men, or of God? Or am I trying to please men? If I were still trying to please men, I would not be a servant of Christ. (Galatians 1:6-10)

Answering the Straw Man Argument of “Replacement Theology”

Often when you talk to Zionist Evangelical Christians today, and point out to them that the Bible clearly teaches that the “Jews” who have inherited the promises given to Abraham are clearly those who have the same faith as Abraham and believe in his “seed” Jesus Christ, regardless of ethnicity, many of them will be quick to respond: “Oh, you are teaching replacement theology, which is false.”

The first time when one of my former classmates from Moody Bible Institute, the school I graduated from that is one of the top Dispensationalism Zionist Schools in the U.S., along with Dallas Theological Seminary, told me I was preaching “Replacement Theology” when I was quoting these scripture passages in the Bible showing that the physical descendants of Abraham were not the people of God based simply on their ethnicity, I had to go look it up, as I had never heard of “Replacement Theology” before.

“Replacement Theology” is presented as a false doctrine teaching that “the Church” today has replaced the nation of Israel, which the Zionists vehemently reject.

Modern-day Jews who have not accepted Jesus as the Messiah, tend to use the term “supersessionism” instead, as they claim that all the promises given to Abraham were for ethnic Jews only.

The other religious group who presents this are the people who consider themselves ethnic Jews, but do believe that Jesus was the prophesied Messiah. Many of them refer to themselves as “Messianic Jews”, although most of the ones I know just call themselves “Christians.”

We meet some of these Jews in the New Testament writings, Jews who, at least intellectually, accepted the historical fact that Jesus was the prophesied Jewish Messiah. This is where most of Zionism started, as these Jews who accepted that Jesus was the Messiah wanted all non-Jews (Gentiles) to keep the whole law of Moses, including being circumcised.

They are most often referred to in the New Testament as “the circumcised” (Greek: peritomē), although some English translations just use “Jews”. See Galatians Chapter 3. These are the forerunners to today’s “Zionists.”

James, the half brother of Jesus Christ and the leader of the assembly of believers in Jerusalem just before it was destroyed in 70 AD, warned Paul about these Zionist “believers”, who at that time apparently were numbered in the “many thousands”:

When we had come to Jerusalem, the brothers received us gladly.

The day following, Paul went in with us to James; and all the elders were present.

When he had greeted them, he reported one by one the things which God had worked among the Gentiles through his ministry. They, when they heard it, glorified God.

They said to him, “You see, brother, how many thousands there are among the Jews of those who have believed, and they are all zealous for the law.

They have been informed about you, that you teach all the Jews who are among the Gentiles to forsake Moses, telling them not to circumcise their children neither to walk after the customs. What then? The assembly must certainly meet, for they will hear that you have come.” (Acts 21:17-22)

And indeed when these Zionists heard that Paul had come to Jerusalem, as the story unfolds in the Book of Acts in the Bible, they tried their best to kill him.

The next morning the Jews formed a conspiracy and bound themselves with an oath not to eat or drink until they had killed Paul. More than forty men were involved in this plot.

They went to the chief priests and elders and said, “We have taken a solemn oath not to eat anything until we have killed Paul. Now then, you and the Sanhedrin petition the commander to bring him before you on the pretext of wanting more accurate information about his case. We are ready to kill him before he gets here.” (Acts 23:12-15)

These “Jewish Christians” are some of the main ones promoting Zionism today, similar to the Evangelical Christians (who are mostly “gentiles”), and they are the ones who have developed the term “Replacement Theology.”

Here is a quote from one of their websites:

Replacement Theology – reduced to its simplest form – teaches that the Church has replaced Israel in God’s plan. The term “Replacement Theology” is relatively new and unfamiliar to many people (in some cases, even those who believe in it). Among theologians, the older and more widely used term is “supersessionism.” The Church “supersedes” Israel. Its proponents teach that God has set aside Israel and made the Church “new Israel,” the new and improved people of God. (Source.)

This is what I call a straw man argument, because they are refuting something that the Bible never actually taught in the first place, not even under the Old Covenant through Moses.

The Old Testament portion of the Bible clearly shows how many, in fact most, of the physical descendants of Abraham were NOT going to receive the promises to Abraham, because of their unbelief and wickedness.

Of the 2 million or so Jews who left Egypt under the leadership of Moses, only two families actually got to enter the “Promised Land”, because all the rest were too evil and died in the wilderness. And even though most of their children got to enter the land and receive the promise given to Abraham, most of them were just as wicked.

It is not because of your righteousness or your integrity that you are going in to take possession of their land; but on account of the wickedness of these nations, the LORD your God will drive them out before you, to accomplish what he swore to your fathers, to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.

Understand, then, that it is not because of your righteousness that the LORD your God is giving you this good land to possess, for you are a stiff-necked people. Remember this and never forget how you provoked the LORD your God to anger in the desert.

From the day you left Egypt until you arrived here, you have been rebellious against the LORD. (Words of Moses in Deuteronomy 9:5-7)

As I explained above, Jesus himself clearly taught that most of the ethnic Jews of his day who could trace their lineage back to Abraham served their father “the Devil,” and had no claim on the promises of Abraham, which were fulfilled in him, the Messiah, because they rejected him as their Messiah, and instead had him executed.

So there is nothing to “replace,” as the faithful believers have always been “the remnant,” in BOTH the Old Testament under the Old Covenant, as well as in the New Testament under the New Covenant.

Israel in Bible Prophecy and the “Third Temple”

Like any doctrine or religion, not all Zionists believe all the same things. The average person in society who gets all of their information from Christian sources such as their church and pastor, or “experts” who teach through the mass media, will typically have a different view of Zionism than what is taught in Evangelical academics, such as colleges, universities, and seminaries.

I was educated at one of the top Evangelical Bible Schools in the U.S. in the early 1980s, and there was no professor or scholar trained in the scriptures that I knew of who would point to Genesis chapter 12, and the “bless those who bless you and curse those who curse you” passage, as supporting Zionism.

They clearly understood that this promise was made to ALL the people on earth, of all ethnic groups, as the promises to Abraham have passed on to Jesus Christ.

Instead, to support Zionism, they point to Biblical prophecy, mainly the book of Revelation (the last book in the Bible) and the prophecies of Daniel in the Old Testament.

They believe that all the ethnic Jews will be converted and accept that Jesus Christ is the actual Messiah, and that therefore “All Jews will be saved,” in the future.

They often misquote some of Paul’s teaching, such as in Romans chapter 11 verse 6 where Paul wrote: “And so all Israel will be saved…”

However, the entire letter to the Romans by Paul clearly teaches that being an ethnic Jew has no benefit when it comes to salvation, especially chapter 1 through chapter 8.

And in chapter 9 he wrote this:

For not all who are descended from Israel are Israel. Nor because they are his descendants are they all Abraham’s children. (Romans 9:6-7)

When he writes two chapters later than that “And so all Israel will be saved…”, we need to properly define “Israel.” The true “Israel,” the true “Jews,” and the true “descendants of Abraham” are those who have been reborn into Abraham’s spiritual seed, and now become spiritual “Israel,” “Jews,” and “descendants of Abraham”.

But even if one were to accept that ALL ethnic Jews are one day going to be “saved” in the Last Days to fulfill prophecy, how does that justify supporting modern-day political Israel TODAY, who have not yet accepted Jesus as their Messiah?!

Such a belief is ABSURD, and part of the Zionist Cult.

This Zionist belief about the future also states that there has to be a “third temple” built in Jerusalem before Jesus can come back to earth, based on prophecy.

But Jesus and the New Testament writers have already conclusively stated that this is not true, and that the New Temple is spiritual, consisting of the “body of Christ” and all true born again believers.

Jesus is actually the “cornerstone” of this Temple, which began in Jerusalem, Zion, when he offered up his life as a sacrificial lamb for the payment of our sins.

Here are some of the verses in the Bible that refute Zionism and the future construction of a new physical Temple in Jerusalem.

Then the Jews demanded of him, “What miraculous sign can you show us to prove your authority to do all this?”

Jesus answered them, “Destroy this temple, and I will raise it again in three days.”

The Jews replied, “It has taken forty-six years to build this temple, and you are going to raise it in three days?”

But the temple he had spoken of was his body. After he was raised from the dead, his disciples recalled what he had said. Then they believed the Scripture and the words that Jesus had spoken. (John 2:18-22)

Jesus actually prophesied that Herod’s Temple in Jerusalem during his day would be destroyed, which it was in 70 AD. But he also stated that the new “temple” would be his “body,” after he was raised from the dead and his Spirit resided in the “body of believers,” a spiritual “temple.”

Do you not know that you are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit dwells in you? If anyone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy him. For God’s temple is holy, and you are that temple. (1 Corinthians 3:16-17)

So then you are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus himself being the cornerstone, in whom the whole structure, being joined together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord. In him you also are being built together into a dwelling place for God by the Spirit. (Ephesians 2:19-22)

As you come to him, a living stone rejected by men but in the sight of God chosen and precious, you yourselves like living stones are being built up as a spiritual house, to be a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.

For it stands in Scripture: “Behold, I am laying in Zion a stone, a cornerstone chosen and precious, and whoever believes in him will not be put to shame.”

So the honor is for you who believe, but for those who do not believe, “The stone that the builders rejected has become the cornerstone,” and “A stone of stumbling, and a rock of offense.”

They stumble because they disobey the word, as they were destined to do. (Zionists)

But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light. (1 Peter 2:4-9)

The believers in Jesus Christ are now the “chosen people”, not based on ethnicity or religious affiliation, but by our faith in Jesus Christ, and together with Jesus, the cornerstone, we are now the new temple.

This was such an important teaching in the New Testament, that Stephen in Acts chapter 6 and 7, gave up his life for standing for this truth, the truth that Jerusalem and the physical Temple were no longer significant after the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, and the beginning of the New Covenant.

Now Stephen, a man full of God’s grace and power, did great wonders and miraculous signs among the people. Opposition arose, however, from members of the Synagogue of the Freedmen (as it was called)—Jews of Cyrene and Alexandria as well as the provinces of Cilicia and Asia.

These men began to argue with Stephen, but they could not stand up against his wisdom or the Spirit by whom he spoke. Then they secretly persuaded some men to say, “We have heard Stephen speak words of blasphemy against Moses and against God.”

So they stirred up the people and the elders and the teachers of the law. They seized Stephen and brought him before the Sanhedrin. They produced false witnesses, who testified, “This fellow never stops speaking against this holy place and against the law. For we have heard him say that this Jesus of Nazareth will destroy this place and change the customs Moses handed down to us.”

All who were sitting in the Sanhedrin looked intently at Stephen, and they saw that his face was like the face of an angel. (Acts 6:8-15)

Stephen then gives the history of the Jewish people, showing how God never needed a physical temple to begin with to dwell in, which you can read in Acts 7.

At the end of this chapter, his brutal murder is recorded:

“You stiff-necked people, with uncircumcised hearts and ears! You are just like your fathers: You always resist the Holy Spirit! Was there ever a prophet your fathers did not persecute? They even killed those who predicted the coming of the Righteous One. And now you have betrayed and murdered him—you who have received the law that was put into effect through angels but have not obeyed it.”

When they heard this, they were furious and gnashed their teeth at him.

But Stephen, full of the Holy Spirit, looked up to heaven and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing at the right hand of God.

“Look,” he said, “I see heaven open and the Son of Man standing at the right hand of God.”

At this they covered their ears and, yelling at the top of their voices, they all rushed at him, dragged him out of the city and began to stone him.

Meanwhile, the witnesses laid their clothes at the feet of a young man named Saul. While they were stoning him, Stephen prayed, “Lord Jesus, receive my spirit.”

Then he fell on his knees and cried out, “Lord, do not hold this sin against them.” When he had said this, he fell asleep. (Acts 7:51-60)

This fulfilled the words of Jesus spoken just before his death:

All this I have told you so that you will not go astray. They will put you out of the synagogue; in fact, a time is coming when anyone who kills you will think he is offering a service to God. They will do such things because they have not known the Father or me.

I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world. (John 16.)

Are we looking at another point in history where all those who oppose Zionism and are labeled as “antisemitic” could face a similar brutal death?

Why Have so Many Christians been Deceived by Zionism? Follow the Money…

If the Bible is so clear in refuting Zionism, why is that so many Christians today are deceived on this issue?

First, it is important to understand that Corporate Christianity today is NOT what is found in the Bible, for many reasons. See:

Fact Check: “Christianity” and the Christian Religion is NOT Found in the Bible – The Person Jesus Christ Is

Let’s look at the biblical, spiritual principle of why so many Christians are deceived today on the issue of Zionism.

This is what the apostle John wrote in the New Testament portion of the Bible:

Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

For all that is in the world—the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes and pride of life—is not from the Father but is from the world.

And the world is passing away along with its desires, but whoever does the will of God abides forever.

Children, it is the last hour, and as you have heard that antichrist is coming, so now many antichrists have come. Therefore we know that it is the last hour.

They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would have continued with us. But they went out, that it might become plain that they all are not of us.

But you have been anointed by the Holy One, and you all have knowledge. I write to you, not because you do not know the truth, but because you know it, and because no lie is of the truth.

[T]he anointing that you received from him abides in you, and you have no need that anyone should teach you. But as his anointing teaches you about everything, and is true, and is no lie—just as it has taught you, abide in him.  (1 John 2:15-21; 27)

The English word “anoint” used by John here is chrisma in the original Greek language. It was used for the coronation of Kings, and in the Greek translation of the Old Testament it was used for appointing the high priest who served in the Temple.

It is also the word group that gives us Christos in the Greek, which is the Greek translation of “Messiah” in the Hebrew, and is also used for the second half of the name of Jesus, “Jesus Christ.”

Jesus is the “anointed” one from God, the “Messiah.”

I have had many well-meaning Christians email me over the years trying to “inform” me that I am using the wrong name for Jesus, and then explaining why they think, or more than likely what they were told, is the proper name to use for the Messiah.

Well if you want to follow the ancient biblical original texts, this is what was written for the name of Jesus: Ἰησοῦς Χριστός. It can be transliterated into our alphabet as Iēsous Christos from the Greek, or “Jesus Christ” in modern English text. Any other spelling one chooses to use is an interpretation and a matter of someone’s opinion, and NOT what is written in the original texts of the Bible.

John clearly states here that when one is “anointed” by the “Holy One,” which is the Spirit of Christ or the “Holy Spirit,” then one knows “the truth,” and the “anointed” ones have “no need that anyone should teach” them.

Whoops! If this is true, then all the “Pastors” and huge organizational structures that build “churches” are actually no longer needed to teach people about Jesus, because these “anointed ones” have a direct relationship with Jesus Christ (as opposed to simply an intellectual knowledge), and have no need for human teachers/pastors/priests etc. to teach them what the Bible says. They can just read the Bible for themselves and be guided by God and the Holy Spirit to “know the truth,” who is Jesus Christ.

Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. If you really knew me, you would know my Father as well. From now on, you do know him and have seen him.” (John 14:6-7)

For a longer explanation of how we as “anointed” individuals have no need for human “experts” or leaders in Corporate Christianity, please read:

To “Save” America will the Foundation of the Corporate American Christian Church Need to be Destroyed?

This “anointing” is referred to in other ways in the New Testament, such as being “born of the seed of Abraham,” “being born again,” “baptized in the Holy Spirit,” (note: “baptism” is also a transliteration from the Greek word, and if translated into English would mean “immersed”) etc.

Do you have this anointing? If you are unsure, now is the time to start talking to God and find out how you can receive this anointing.

Follow the Money

So that’s the spiritual reason why so many Christians are deceived today by Zionism.

The other reason is that Corporate Christianity is a $TRILLION market, employing millions of people, and to dare to oppose Zionism and not support Israel is to potentially lose your career and source of income, and be ridiculed by the Christian Community.

A study conducted in 2016 estimated that religion in America, which is primarily Zionist Christianity, was “worth $1.2 trillion, more than the combined revenue of the top 10 technology companies in the country, including Apple, Amazon, and Google.” (Source.)

“MinistryWatch” listed the “100 largest Christian ministries in the U.S.” in 2020. (Source.)

Just these 100 businesses alone total over $23 billion:  $23,844,696,705.

Three of these top 5 Christian businesses are universities where Zionism is taught, with each school taking in over $1 billion in revenue each year. When you consider all the Zionist Christian publishing companies producing news, films, TV, books and educational materials, as well as Christian “Pastors” who graduated from these Zionist schools preaching Zionism from the pulpit every week, it is easy to see how the Zionist propaganda infiltrates and saturates American culture and Conservative Right-wing politics.

The leaders at the top of this industry are clearly Freemasons, and if they are successful in destroying the current Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem, and replacing it with a Masonic “Jewish” Temple, you can be sure all the Zionist Christians will shout for joy in their service to Satan.

Conclusion: Study the Bible!!

This article is a summary of the Zionism Cult. Please take time to research this issue for yourself, by checking all the scripture passages quoted here.

Gather together with other like-minded believers and read through all these Bible passages so you can learn what the Bible actually teaches, and NOT what some professional Christian tells you it says, or what you should believe.

Be like the Bereans in the book of Acts, who listened to what Paul said refuting Zionism, and searched the scriptures to see if what he was saying was true:

Now the Bereans were of more noble character than the Thessalonians, for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was true. Many of the Jews believed, as did also a number of prominent Greek women and many Greek men. When the Jews in Thessalonica learned that Paul was preaching the word of God at Berea, they went there too, agitating the crowds and stirring them up. (Acts 17:11-13)

You can print out this article to use (or download as a .pdf ebook), but I prefer that you do not just email it to someone you want to educate on Zionism, such as a pastor or other professional Christians. You need to understand, and know how to articulate this, for yourself.

You need to be able to use the Bible as your authority in refuting the Zionist Cult, and not some human “expert,” and that includes me.

You don’t need to be an expert or scholar in the Bible to refute this cult, as the Bible does it all by itself very effectively.

Learn to ask probing questions to force the Zionist Cult leaders to explain their position from the Bible, and the Bible alone.

For example, if they claim all Jews are saved based on their ethnicity and relationship to Abraham, ask them why Jesus said that most of them served Satan, and that only the ones who believed in him, were actually saved? Point them to the Scriptures and ask them to defend their position. Put them on the defense to explain themselves.

If they talk about a 3rd temple, ask them why the Bible so clearly talks about the 3rd temple being spiritual, comprised of Jesus and his followers?

If they bring up “Replacement Theology,” make them defend what exactly it is that they believe is being “replaced,” and how they define “Israel” and the “Jews,” and then have them explain the verses that define them today as I quoted above.

Then ask them to explain what the Book of Hebrews is all about in the New Testament, and why this book so clearly states that everything promised to Abraham is fulfilled in Christ, including the “land”? (Chapter 11 of Hebrews).

Above all be kind and understanding, knowing that they are the ones deceived, and not you, and your attitude of kindness and love could just possibly open up the door to the truth for them, which could literally save their lives.

But in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect, keeping a clear conscience, so that those who speak maliciously against your good behavior in Christ may be ashamed of their slander. (1 Peter 3:15-16)
