The empty tomb where they laid the body of Jesus signifies the victory of Jesus over Satan, and death.

by Brian Shilhavy

Jesus Christ:

He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation.

For by him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created by him and for him.

He is before all things, and in him all things hold together.

And he is the head of the body, the assembly; he is the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead, so that in everything he might have the supremacy.

For God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in him, and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood, shed on the cross.

Once you were alienated from God and were enemies in your minds because of your evil behavior.

But now he has reconciled you by Christ’s physical body through death to present you holy in his sight, without blemish and free from accusation… (Colossians 1:15-22)

In this world we have good news, and we have bad news.

The bad news far outweighs the good news, at least by volume.

But in terms of quality, the best news is what is described by the apostle Paul in the verses just quoted above in his letter to the believers in Colosse during the First Century.

In short: Jesus created EVERYTHING, and Jesus OWNS everything.

And yes, EVERYTHING is literal and means EVERYTHING.

Put in negative terms: Satan owns NOTHING. Satan owns NOBODY. In fact, Christ OWNS SATAN, because he created him, he who was formerly an Angel of Light, but is now the Prince of Darkness.

Satan, the Devil, once had a claim on others, on those who rebelled against God, as he did.

But not anymore. After Jesus came to earth in human form, taking on the form of a helpless baby that Satan tried hard to destroy, and then grew up into a man and freely gave up his own earthly life as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of the world, he paid a costly price to purchase back everyone who was previously lost.

One of the biggest lies that Satan, the father of lies, wants you to believe, is that you cannot be saved. That you are beyond hope, that because of your past, or your family, or some terrible things you have done in your life, that you are beyond hope and doomed to whatever the future has in store for you.

This is a lie! You were created in the image of God. And even if you have been traveling down the wrong road in life, as long as you have breath and a heart beat, you can claim the redemption that Christ paid for by his own blood, which satisfied God’s anger and judgement against your sins: past, present, and future. The redemption that Christ purchased is rightfully yours.

Not because you deserve it. Not because you earned it. But because God loves you, and he wants you to come home.

The Good Technocrats

Technology and the new term “technocrats” has gotten a bad rap in recent times. And for good reason, if we look at the evil ways technology is being used today.

But technology in and of itself is not bad. Neither are those who wield its power, as the power of technology can be wielded for good, just as much as it can be wielded for evil.

I am a son of the age of technology. I remember the days before technology became such a big part of our lives, as it is today:

When no one carried a cell phone. When no one owned a personal computer.

When the Internet was simply a vast network of bits of information that was primarily used in academic circles, and not among the general public.

I also remember the excitement when these new technological breakthroughs became available to the average consumer. They represented a hope for a better life, a life of good, not evil.

In that late 1990s I was a Microsoft Certified trainer, and also certified in many of the new Microsoft software products after Windows 95 and Windows NT were developed. The excitement over these new products was infectious, as we imagined the possibilities they presented for more efficient networking, productivity, and just overall enhancing our way of life.

“Uncle Bill” was a hero back then, and his company, Microsoft, provided many new jobs and opportunities, not just for the corporate elite, but for the small people too. For those of us involved in technology back then, Bill Gates was like a hero.

I also remember the excitement of having so much data available via the Internet, which leveled the playing field for study and academics, where one no longer needed access to the best libraries at the top schools in order to gain access to vast amounts of educational material.

It was a way to level the playing field and allow anyone who had the curiosity to learn and expand their mind without the propaganda of mass media controlled by large corporations, to self-direct their own destiny and reach heights that previously were only available to the rich and privileged.

Search engines were developed to navigate through this vast amount of information, and then in the late 1980s two college students from Stanford University gave the world a wonderful gift by allowing anyone with a PC and access to the Internet the ability to search for almost anything, instantaneously.

I was there, and oh how I can remember the excitement! The possibilities! There were no longer limits placed on ideas and dreams.

We all had a hope for a better future, a way to “level the playing field” so that the corporate elites could no longer cast their spell over us, if we chose to not participate.

The company that formed around these two students, Google, did things that were never done before, and even transformed the work place to make it more friendly than the cold, corporate prison holes that most were forced to work out of as they served the corporate elite.

The guys at Google were on our side. We trusted them.

Then along came Amazon.com in the late 1990s, just before we all became concerned about Y2K.

I could remember finding books on just about ANYTHING on Amazon.com, and I became an affiliate, selling books on the simple life, what would be known today as “the Prepper” lifestyle, and put into practice what I was learning and teaching others regarding what we were seeing were the potential pitfalls of technology, and the fragile systems we had created by allowing corporate America take over our way of life.

I took my family to a rural area in the Philippines, where we could still survive if the technology crashed, and we all looked to Amazon.com to supply the books and old-school “technology” knowledge we would need if that happened. Sitting on a mountain in a remote area of the Philippines with my computer connected to the Internet through a simple dial-up connection, I could order the books and have them delivered to me in the Philippines.

It was AMAZING!

This was MY generation. We were the children of the parents who came out of the age of WWII and the Great Depression. Our parents did not go through those hardships, but were born of the parents who did, and those values carried over into our own up-bringing.

And we BELIEVED in the technology. We believed it could be the vehicle to a better world, to a better way of life, that empowered the masses and gave us equal footing with the Corporate dictators who wanted to rule our lives.

This generation produced Rock ‘n Roll, the Hippie movement, and a general age of rebellious young people who were determined to not let the corporate elites control our future. Some, such as the students at Kent State, in Ohio, gave up their lives for this cause, knowing that we were being drafted to fight the rich man’s wars.

It was revolutionary. And we believed that with the new technology nothing could stop us.

And then along came Facebook in the early 2000s, the ultimate social media network that brought us all back together!

Suddenly, we were all communicating with people from our past, reconnecting and catching up on old times, which before the technology of social media would probably never have happened, and we would never had known what became of these people from our past, except at 5-year and 10-year class reunions, if we even had time to attend those.

Suddenly we were able to combine our interests and knowledge into groups and pages, all working together for a common goal. Facebook literally changed our world, and mostly for the better, at least for my generation as we were in the middle of our careers and far too busy to get addicted to things like social media.

But then something happened. Something that has happened throughout the history of the human race.

The great wealth that this technology brought, even after the dot.com bust, thoroughly corrupted my generation. And the rest is history, and need not be reviewed in this article.

But this is my message to the technocrats: It’s not too late.

As I write this today on September 19, 2020, there are people like myself who are praying for you, that you will claim your redemption that Christ purchased, and that you will now begin to use technology for good, and not evil.

We have come to a cross-roads in human history, and the father of lies is moving fast to secure his place in the coming New World Order.

But he will fail.

There will be a New World Order, but Satan will not be its ruler. Jesus Christ will. It has been fore-ordained and prophesied for thousands of years. Nothing will stop it. Nothing.

And you can be part of it Uncle Bill. So can you Mark, and Jeff, and the corporate leaders of Alphabet. It is never too late to claim your redemption, and come on to the winning side, as long as you have breath and a heartbeat.

But if you don’t, please understand, your death and destruction will probably be swift. Because my master whom I serve and have walked with for over 40 years, Jesus Christ, owns Satan, and all of Satan’s plans will be nullified.

Don’t be fooled by his lies that you have no choices before you, that your path is laid in stone and that there is no hope for you, or that it is impossible for you to change your path.

It is not. You can still be part of something truly special, something never before seen, as the days draw closer to the return of Jesus and his New World Order.

You can be part of that. God is still in the recruiting business, seeking out those whose hearts will turn to him and be redeemed.

The corporate church has nothing to offer us, so don’t look there.

Come home. It’s time for you to come home. I’m waiting for you.

Sincerely,

Brian Shilhavy
