In the Acts of the Apostles published in the New Testament section of the Bible, we see in chapter 2 that the promised coming of the Holy Spirit after the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ in Jerusalem, was manifested by giving supernatural power to the believers in Jesus to start speaking in other languages.
When the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place.
Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting. They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them.
All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them.
Now there were staying in Jerusalem God-fearing Jews from every nation under heaven. When they heard this sound, a crowd came together in bewilderment, because each one heard them speaking in his own language.
Utterly amazed, they asked: “Are not all these men who are speaking Galileans? Then how is it that each of us hears them in his own native language? Parthians, Medes and Elamites; residents of Mesopotamia, Judea and Cappadocia, Pontus and Asia, Phrygia and Pamphylia, Egypt and the parts of Libya near Cyrene; visitors from Rome (both Jews and converts to Judaism); Cretans and Arabs—we hear them declaring the wonders of God in our own tongues!”
Amazed and perplexed, they asked one another, “What does this mean?” (Acts 2:1-12)
The history of the human race, in one sense, had come full circle from the Tower of Babel story in Genesis chapter 11, where the whole world at that time spoke a common language.
The world system, which just several generations previously had been destroyed by a world-wide flood due to the wickedness on earth, was again apparently a threat to the Kingdom of God, necessitating God’s judgment to confuse their language so that they could not continue in their evil ways.
Now the whole world had one language and a common speech.
Then they said, “Come, let us build ourselves a city, with a tower that reaches to the heavens, so that we may make a name for ourselves and not be scattered over the face of the whole earth.”
But the LORD came down to see the city and the tower that the men were building. The LORD said, “If as one people speaking the same language they have begun to do this, then nothing they plan to do will be impossible for them.
Come, let us go down and confuse their language so they will not understand each other.” So the LORD scattered them from there over all the earth, and they stopped building the city.
That is why it was called Babel—because there the LORD confused the language of the whole world. From there the LORD scattered them over the face of the whole earth. (Genesis 11:1-9)
When the followers of Jesus started miraculously speaking other languages on the day of Pentecost in Acts chapter 2, therefore, it has significant historical meaning in the history of the human race.
Peter was the leader of the disciples of Jesus, and he addressed the crowd to explain what was happening, and that they had wrongly crucified Jesus, as he was the promised Messiah.
A short time later Peter and John miraculously healed a crippled man who had been a professional beggar in the great Temple of Jerusalem, which caused quite a controversy.
Again Peter addressed the crowds that were in the temple that day, explaining that God was the one who performed the healing “by faith in the name of Jesus,” and said:
Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord, and that he may send the Christ, who has been appointed for you—even Jesus.
He must remain in heaven until the time comes for God to restore everything, as he promised long ago through his holy prophets. (Acts 3:19-21 – emphasis added)
Has the Time Come to Restore Everything by the Return of Jesus Christ?
Today, here in 2020, as we observe first hand how the Globalists who serve Satan are putting their plan for a “New World Order” into place, could we be near the time Jesus returns to earth to finally defeat Satan and destroy his world system, ushering in the Kingdom of God to rule in a “New World Order” that has been planned since the dawn of time?
I don’t want to get into the details of prophecies and end time events, as there are many interpretations of future prophecies and how exactly things will unfold, but stick with the basic principles that are clearly taught in the Bible that most would agree with, if one believes the Bible is authoritative and trustworthy.
Some years after these events recorded in the book of Acts in the Bible, Peter wrote two of his own articles, and one of the things he wrote was:
First of all, you must understand that in the last days scoffers will come, scoffing and following their own evil desires. They will say, “Where is this ‘coming’ he promised?
Ever since our fathers died, everything goes on as it has since the beginning of creation.”
But they deliberately forget that long ago by God’s word the heavens existed and the earth was formed out of water and by water. By these waters also the world of that time was deluged and destroyed.
By the same word the present heavens and earth are reserved for fire, being kept for the day of judgment and destruction of ungodly men.
But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day.
The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.
But the day of the Lord will come like a thief. The heavens will disappear with a roar; the elements will be destroyed by fire, and the earth and everything in it will be laid bare.
Since everything will be destroyed in this way, what kind of people ought you to be? You ought to live holy and godly lives as you look forward to the day of God and speed its coming.
That day will bring about the destruction of the heavens by fire, and the elements will melt in the heat. But in keeping with his promise we are looking forward to a new heaven and a new earth, the home of righteousness. (2 Peter 3:3-13)
Peter spoke and wrote, during his lifetime, as if the return of Jesus was imminent, and he instructed believers to “look forward to it,” and to “speed its coming,” by repenting of sins, which means basically stop participating in the world system controlled by Satan, and start living as members of the Kingdom of God.
If that was true during the days Peter lived, more than 2000 years ago, how much more so is it true today?
There is a time bomb ticking away that will explode at the given time, and it seems to me, based on what I am seeing in the world today, that Satan knows this, and is rushing ahead now to try and setup his New World Order at a pace, at least in this generation, that we have not previously seen.
I have previously covered the “mark” of the Serpent and the history of the seed of the serpent and the Messianic seed of the woman. See:
The Satanic Roots to Modern Medicine – The Mark of the Beast?
Much like how evil the world was just before the flood destroyed mankind preserving only the family of Noah, and much like the story of the Tower of Babel where again, the world had become so wicked that God had to intervene and break up the One World Order that was only possible through a common language, so it would seem that we have come full circle in history once again, where the world has become utterly evil, and where God, once again, needs to intervene.
And according to the words of Peter and many other writings in the New Testament portion of the Bible, that intervention will be Jesus Christ returning to earth to setup his New World Order, and to do so, the current world must be destroyed, and Satan must be cast into Hell.
All this is evidence that God’s judgment is right, and as a result you will be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, for which you are suffering.
God is just: He will pay back trouble to those who trouble you and give relief to you who are troubled, and to us as well.
This will happen when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven in blazing fire with his powerful angels. He will punish those who do not know God and do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus.
They will be punished with everlasting destruction and shut out from the presence of the Lord and from the majesty of his power on the day he comes to be glorified in his holy people and to be marveled at among all those who have believed. (2 Thessalonians 1:5-10)
So if you’re still fighting worthless fights between the “Left” vs. the “Right,” “Conservative” vs. “Liberal,” “Republican vs. Democrat,” it is time to recognize that the battle is between the Kingdom of God and the Kingdom of Satan.
And if you’re not sure what side you’re on, you better figure it out fast, while you still have time.
As God’s fellow workers we urge you not to receive God’s grace in vain. For he says, “In the time of my favor I heard you, and in the day of salvation I helped you.” I tell you, now is the time of God’s favor, now is the day of salvation. (2 Corinthians 6:1-2)
The Son of Man will send out his angels, and they will weed out of his kingdom everything that causes sin and all who do evil. They will throw them into the fiery furnace, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
Then the righteous will shine like the sun in the kingdom of their Father. He who has ears, let him hear. (Matthew 13:41-43)
